The Imperial Speedster
The Imperial Speedster has been on the west coast for the past few weeks. Last weekend in LA where we went to the George Barris’ shop, the Petersen, Galpin Auto Collection and Bob’s Big Boy for the Friday night cruise. The car then attended the all Mopar show in Woodley Park (Los Angeles) and finally made a pilgrimage to Muscle Cars at the Playboy Mansion. While at the mansion it was the feature vehicle appearing on all of the promotion literature and shirts, plus Barris presented it with his award.
Next week the car will be featured in the PPG Paint display at SEMA. and then the car is off to Pahrump for the Optima Batteries Invitational to head up the team of judges.
In other happenings, PPG just featured the car in their publication, Lincoln Electric will be following suit, and PPG, Lincoln, and Eastwood will be doing video interviews of the car at SEMA. The car has been entered in the Gran Turismo video game and Mother’s Shine award programs too. Also look for features of the car coming up in Mopar Muscle and Hot Rods and Restorations magazines.
